Mrs. Sindhu Nair started her career in the year 1989 with The Great Eastern Shipping Company, India’s leading Shipping company in the private sector as a Trainee.
She worked for 11 years with this organisation, assisting the Accounts and Finance departments in Accounting Processes, Audits, Analysis and Feasibility study, Cash Department and later moved to the Operations Department where she was responsible for the post fixture accounting and daily MIS reporting.
It was during the end of her tenure with Great Eastern, that she discovered the Woman Entrepreneur in her and co-founded smmart Training & Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd on 10th February 2000 along with her husband, Mr. Santosh Nair who is currently the Chairman and Chief Mentor of the organization
Her journey started right from the reception of her own organisation and progressively moved to all aspects of the Training Industry. Working under the guidance of various leaders and managers of the company right from Training Co-ordination to Administration, Accounting & Finance, HR, IT, Business Development, Counseling and Customer Relations epitomizes her true spirit of Entrepreneurship.
After 10 years of selfless contribution towards the cause of Entrepreneurial Excellence, she earned the title of a Managing Director and now leads, directs and drives the business operations for the entire smmart Group which started as a Training Company but now caters in all areas of Entrepreneurial Training, Coaching, Consultancy, Mentoring and Enablement with a vision to be the finest Entrepreneurial Development Company in the world by 2020.
She is also the founder of the smmart Foundation which is aimed at providing entrepreneurial opportunities to underprivileged women by self sustaining them and propagating women entrepreneurship to them and providing entrepreneurial opportunities and guidance to the youth of this country and this social calling is her greatest area of interest.
She is a member of an enterprising Entrepreneurial association called TIE, and her next big endeavor is to launch a program for Women Entrepreneurs where she would be a part of the ensemble faculty and since she has been a facilitator, a reviewer and a coach, she is all set to enter into another new role of a Trainer
